The Wonder Year's Winnie Cooper becomes a Mommy! Congratulations Danica McKellar!

Looking at the top searches today on Yahoo I saw the name Danica McKellar. I knew that name sounded familiar so I decided to see who she was and why this was a popular search today.

Danica McKellar, 35, who played Winnie Cooper on the hit television show The Wonder Years has given birth to her first child! Danica and her husband Mike Verta welcomed their first child, a bouncing baby boy on Tuesday, September 7th. The little guy weighed in at 7lbs 2 ounces, and they have chosen the name Draco meaning "Dragon" for their new addition.

I spent so much time watching Danica as Miss Winnie Cooper when I was a young girl. She was the girl that every boy wanted to be with and every girl wanted to be. I remember sitting down with my family every week to watch The Wonder Years. I loved watching Kevin and Winnie grow up. It was fun to watch their relationship change and blossom.  The whole show was fantastic, relatable storylines with a great soundtrack! The Wonder Years helped build my love for classic music from the late 60s and 70s.

So congratulations to Danica and her husband too as they begin the most exciting, life changing journey...Parenthood. This family's "Wonder Years" have just begun!
