Scandle Body Candle Review

Sometimes I come across a product on the internet that just grabs my interest and I decide that I HAVE to try it. After reading about Scandle Body Massage Candles and visiting their website, I became even more intrigued.

So what exactly is a Scandle?

The Scandle Body Massage Candle is a fragrant hand-poured body massage candle that, when burned, melts to create a healthy body massage oil that can be used to enhance the healthy of your skin. Not only, is The Scandle Body Massage Candle healthy for your skin, but it is also healthy for the environment...emitting less soot and toxins into the environment than parrafin candles.

The Scandle Body Massage Candle is perfect as a body moisturizer, warm body massage oil, or as a soothing Vitamin E rich lotion for manicures and pedicures.

How do you use a Scandle Body Candle?

Simply light the Scandle (we recommend for about 30 minutes or until the candle melts to the container's edge so that the candle will continue to burn evently with every use). Then, extinguish the flame and apply a small amount on to desired area (we recommend a quarter size to start). When done, allow the candle to cool..the liquid will re-congeal to a solid state permitting additional applications.

If you would rather not burn your Scandle, you can also scoop a little out using a spoon and simply rub it directly on your skin!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to try a Scandle Body Candle as well as their amazing Scandle Sea Salt Soak and Scrub.

 I received the Scandle Originals Travel Candle in the Hummingbird Scent.

Scandle Originals Travel Candles come in a lightweight square tin as shown in my picture above. Along with the candle comes a Silcone band that can be worn as a eco-wristband as a reminder with the words "Reuse, Reduce, Recycle" engraved on it. The Scandle Travel Candle is a 4oz body massage candle with a burn time up to 30 hours.

I couldn't wait to try my Scandle Body Massage Candle. As soon as it came I opened the package and smelled the sweet scent of the Hummingbird fragrance.  The Hummingbird fragrance is described as...

An original fragrance of kiwi, lilac, tiger lily, with pineapples and pears.

The Hummingbird Fragrance was even more amazing than I could have imagined. It is the perfect mixture of florals and fruity goodness. I couldn't wait to light it and try this amazing product on my skin.

 

When I first used my Scandle candle I lit it and let it burn for about 30 minutes as directed to let the wax melt evenly. The candle burnt evenly and clean. When it came time to apply it to my skin, I first dipped my finger in to feel the temperature of the melted oil. I knew from reading about Scandle candles that they melted at a lower temperature than regular candles, and I was surprised to discover that the melted product was warm and not HOT at all!  I blew the candle out as directed and got ready to try it out!

 

I must admit that I made my husband my guinea pig first. I had him lay on his stomach and poured a bit of the product directly from the tin onto his back. He was surprised by how great it felt. I then rubbed the oil into his skin and he was in heaven! The product easily spread and soaked into his skin as he enjoyed his massage.

 

Then it was my turn! I loved it every bit as much as my husband did too! I noticed as the product is poured from the tin that the fragrance became more noticable and I loved it! Using the Scandle Candle I had the BEST MASSAGE I have ever received!

Things have been crazy around BizziMommi's house! I've had one of my best friends in the hospital with a bad blood clot scare, and had her 3 girls along with my 3 boys!!!! I was fortunate to have the opportunity to try Sparklehearts Bubbling Blooms Body Wash and sample their Sweet Hearts Sparkly Body Lotion.

Yummy Dough Review

I enjoy doing activities with my kids that everyone can participate in. Now that school is out for the summer I am constantly on the look out for fun activities just like this. When I was asked if I would like to try Yummy Dough, I was excited to try this new product out with all my boys!

So what is Yummy Dough? Yummy Dough is edible modeling dough! It's pretty much play-doh that you can eat either raw or after baking your creation! I couldn't wait to get it out and try it, the kids were excited too.

In your box you will get 4 bags of different color Yummy Dough Mix along with a syringe to measure out the water to mix with the powdered mix. I suggest using separate bowls to mix each color. Mixing is dough up is the most difficult part of this product and I would definitely have an adult complete this part before calling the kids in to play. My boys were watching and waiting (not so patiently) while we mixed it up. With my husband mixing 2 colors and I mixing 2 colors we had it ready in about 15 minutes.  After mixing up the dough this is what we had...

Yummy Dough in yellow, green, blue and red! By this time the boys were going crazy, ready to get their hands on the Yummy Dough and start molding their own creations. Each of the bags made a decent amount of dough for the kids to share. I would suggest having a group of up to six kids when sharing one box of Yummy Dough.

                                                                                                             The boys had a blast and it was fun to watch them all be able to have a good time TOGETHER! Sometimes our little guy gets left out which leaves both him and I sad, but with Yummy Dough he got to participate with his brothers and they all had a great time!

SO what does Yummy Dough taste like? I know you are curious... I was! I had to try it to find out! Yummy Dough tastes like sugar cookie dough and if mixed correctly is about the same consistency too. Its not overly sugary, but good none the less. I don't think that I would mixing up a batch to just eat, but my kids liked the taste enough to eat some of their creations. Here are a few of the things that they made...

My kids had a great time with the Yummy Dough! I would recommend this product to parents looking for a fun activity that the entire family can enjoy! I think that this would be a fun rainy day activity or even for a birthday party activity. Have the kids make their own creative cookies and bake them up for them to take home after the party! At about $10 a box it an affordable treat too! My kids aged 2-10 all enjoyed playing with it and I'll bet yours will, too. Kids love to play with clay and its even better when you can eat it raw or bake it too!

There are so many great ideas on things to create with Yummy Dough on their website. They even have an area with patterns, tips and tricks and fun activities for your children to use as they make their own special creations.

If you read my blog regularly you probably know what a bath and body product fanatic I am. I love trying new types of moisturizers, and am always on the look out for great new products. I began seeing YU-BE Moisturizers mentioned across the internet, there was a ton of buzz around these products and I had to know more!

I was excited to have the opportunity to try some of these amazing products that I had been reading about on Yu-Be.com and all over the internet. The products I received included...

They even included a few sample tubes which I shared with my friends!

 

So what did I think of Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Care Products?

 

I think they work well! Extremely Well!

 

Its warm here in Ohio and I am already getting the awful callused heels that come with Summer sandal wearing. I knew that this would be the ultimate test for Yu-Be because after trying hundreds of products I haven't found one that worked...untill now!

 

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream does the job! My heels look better and feel 100% better, even my husband noticed the major difference in the apperance and feel of my feet! These moisturizing products are also great for dry elbow, or any other seriously dry areas.

 

What about the Camphor Scent?

 

The label of each product claims that the camphor scent disappears quickly, and it really does. While the scent isn't pleasant, it doesn't last long but the results from using Yu-Be products are long lasting!

 

I like that Yu-Be is an effective moisturizer that is suitable for the whole family to use. With a scent that disappears, and isn't "girly" my boys actually use these products!

 

I really like the Yu-Be Foaming Skin Polish, too. This formula contains rice bran, Bamboo, Ginger Root, Ginseng, Green Tea and Camphor. I suggest using the Foaming Skin Polish for a refreshing, renewed feeling. This product exfoliates the skin, removes dead skin cells and leaves you feeling clean and fresh. What could be better after a day in the hot sun! Follow with  the body lotion or cream for best results.

BananaCakes- Pancake Puppy Monthly Giveaway

These Fruit and Veggie rattles are adorable! While the quality shows in the pictures, there is no comparing to what you will see when you are holding a Blablakids.com product in your own hand. Each stitch is perfectly placed and the details make these amazing rattles just that much more fun!

While my boys are a bit old to play with rattles, I knew that my youngest son who enjoys playing kitchen would adore these rattles. Can you imagine any better quality play food? I love that the rattles are perfect for infants as well as toddlers who are exploring and using their imaginations. My son loved serving up these rattles on plates to my husband and I. Even at 2 years old he loves the chime that each of the rattles make when shaken. He calls his set of fruit and veggies rattles...
