I love reading with my boys. Its a quiet, quality time that we don't get enough of, but when we can steal the time away it is great to snuggle up and read a book together. Recently I had the opportunity to check out a collection of six amazing childrens books with my boys and we all fell in love with the stories, the characters and the colorful illustrations inside these books!
We've been Waussified!
The Waussies are a bunch of Wacky Aussies who couldn't say their name and thus they became the Waussies! The Waussies come in all kinds but one thing is true about every Waussie character... they love to help, be kind and have fun!
The books in the Waussies Collection include...
Boomerang Waussie to the Rescue
Beachball Waussie’s Lost Air Stopper
Burger Waussie’s Lost Bun
Hiccup Waussie Loses His Hiccups
Pineapple Waussie’s Tickly Problem
Tennis Racquet Waussie’s Space Adventure
Each of the Waussie books is full of colorful illustrations that are sure to grab your child's attention right away. The Author of the series Jacqui Taub also illustrated her lovely characters. She even shows you how to draw the Wuassies on the Waussies website.
Every book features the Waussies working together to solve a problem. Wuassie's never give up! One of my favorite things about these wonderful stories are all of the fun sound words that I got to act out for my children. They really got a kick out it!
Each Waussie Book includes its very own audio reading of the book on cd tucked into a sleeve inside the back cover.
The audio version is fun to listen to, as you follow along while the story is being read. Each of the CD's also feature the wonderful Waussie's theme song!
My boys are ages 2-9 years old and they all enjoyed reading about the Waussie's adventures and listening to the books on the audio cd as well. My youngest son runs around saying Waussie! Waussie! Waussie! and I know its time to read! The Waussie Collection of books are perfect for young readers, and even Mommy too! I really enjoy the Waussie Series and am glad to call them my own.
The Waussie Collection of books is available on Amazon.com and are coming to bookstores near you this month! Check out the Waussie Website for more information on their availability!

Learned that the author of Waussies, Jacqui was inspired to write about The Waussies while raising her four children in Australia. Through humour and nonsensical situations, the Waussies help teach children to be kind, thoughtful and loyal.
