Artisands- Fun art projects for the whole family!-review and giveaway

I love sitting down with my boys and doing arts and crafts. At their current ages, they all enjoy making things with mommy. I try to soak up every minute because I know these moments will go by far quickly and before I know it, they will be "too cool" to hang out with Mom.

I was so excited to get the chance to try some Artisands products! After reading up on their website, I knew that my kids and I were going to have a blast together making pretty pictures with colored sand!

So what are Artisands Products exactly?

From the website...

ArtiSands sand art is fun for all ages and abilities! All of our kits come with colorfast, non-toxic sand in a beautiful array of colors and a wide variety of patterns. Our basic geometric designs are simple enough for the beginner - but with a little creativity they can become extravagant designs! The pre-cut patterns, called Sandesigns, work like a reverse sticker; simply peel off a section of the design, sprinkle on the sand and rub. Simple as that!"

And it really is that simple! My family had the opportunity to try 3 Artisand Mini-Kits and we had so much fun! The colorful sand and the fun precut patterns allow you to make beautiful Art with Sand easily! Each mini kit comes with 9 tubes of brilliant colored sand and 8 peel and stick patterns. The instructions on the package are easy to follow.

Directions for use...

1. Select one of the exciting Sandesigns patterns from the Artisands kit and peel off the pre-cut stencil.

2. Use any(or all!) of the non-toxic colors from the shakers to sprinkle an original design onto the adhesive coated pattern.

3. Press firmly with fingers to set the colors onto the pattern.

Display your finished piece with pride, each design is an original creation! Simple or Sophisticated-it's up to you!

Artisands Mini-Kits are recommended for ages 5 and up, and are a perfect activity for both kids and adults.  Artisands product are a great tool to help small children with their hand and eye coordination as they concentrate to make their pictures just perfect. Artisands products are safe and non-toxic and made in the USA!

Artisands products are available at select retailers as well as from many retailers online. You can also purchase Artisand kits and refill packs on the Artisand website!

The Artisand Mini-kits retail for about $16 which I think is a fair price for all that comes with each set. There are many varieties of the mini-kits to choose from depending on the kind of artwork you would like to create! My family's favorites were the geometric shapes kit and the vehicle kit.
