EMOTES Review and Giveaway

Being a Mom of 3 boys I am always looking for the hottest toys and games. One day while searching the internet I came across Emotes.com... I didn't know exactly what Emotes were but after seeing these adorable characters I had to find out more! There was a video that was made to tell about the Emotes, so I watched it and this is what it said...

"Emotes are a small race of beings with human like feelings who live in the internet. They are constantly learning about the world and themselves. Living inside the internet there is no knowledge they can't posess. Each Emote posesses a unique power that is distinct to his or her own  personality. Emotes use their powers in their ongoing fight aganist Dr. Viro an evil genius who wants to take over the internet. Join the Emotes as they crack the code and embark on exciting new adventures!"

There are 24 Emotes and each Emote is identified with a different emotion. The 12 main Emotes include...

Abash- The Embarassed
Amore- The Lovestruck
Boom- The Angry
Bubba- The Happy
Cant- The Frustrated
Drain- The Exhausted
Ick- The Disgusted
Imp- The Michevious
Joi- The Excited
Jumpi- The Shocked
Mixy- The Confused
Super- The Confident
Yawni- The Bored

On the Emotes website you can watch little animated videos of each of these Emotes, learning more about their character! Besides being adorable and fun, there is a lot of meaning behind the Emotes and they can be used as a very helpful tool in communicating with your children about their feelings. Perfect for both boys and girls of all ages, see how Emotes can help strengthen the bonds between yourself and your children while finding new ways to talk to your children.

From Emotes.com...

The Emotes were created to help children identify and deal with their emotions. The Emotes are a great tool to help you talk to your child about their feelings! Children face many emotional challenges as they grow up in an increasingly complex world. Issues such as peer pressure, bullying and prejudice can leave a child feeling alone and insecure. Levels of depression and anxiety increase when a child is unable to understand and express his or her emotions. The Emotes are here to help! In the wonderful world of Emotia, emotions aren’t denied--they are celebrated!

Within the Emotes Books, children will encounter many different characters; from Boom “The Angry” to Jumpi “The Scared”. They will read about Dr. Viro, a sinister and scheming character who attempts to rob the Emotes of their emotional superpowers. The Emotes work together and support each other, allowing each Emote to feel whatever they may feel. This mutual respect and togetherness allows the Emotes to defeat Dr.Viro’s plans to plunge Emotia into darkness—the darkness of emotional repression. The Emotes are role models. They teach children that bringing emotions into the light of awareness is far healthier than trying to hide them in the dark!

Since I thought the Emotes were pretty cool I decided to introduce my boys to them and see what they thought. I showed them Emotes.com where there were games to play and even a way to design your own Emote character. There are comics to read and videos to watch too! Emotes.com is a fully interactive website and my kids really love playing with all the different features available on the site! It was exciting to see my kids talking to each other about different emotions and feelings with each other as well as myself and my husband. I could see new lines of communication emerging before my eyes!

After I saw how much my boys liked the website, I showed them the Emotes toys and books I had received and they were THRILLED! They were telling me which Emotes they most related to and I thought it was really cool that they were sharing their feelings!

On Emotes.com you can shop for your favorite Emotes characters! There are 10 inch plush, books, 2.5 inch PVC figures, 4 inch keychains, t-shirts, bags and a really cool display case that comes with 12 of the 2.5 PVC figures.

The Display Case is pretty cool and my boys favorite Emotes product. It features slots for each of the 12 characters to sit in, and then an extra slot in the middle for you to put the Emote that associates with the way your are feeling for the day. It is really neat! My boys pull out their figures and play with them together and like to put a different Emote in the center slot each and every day.

There are so many things I love about the Emotes including the toys and the fun games and activities available on the website. I really love that these amazing characters have opened up a new way of talking about feelings with my boys. At their ages, it is important to build those lines of communication now because as they mature and become teens (scary!) I want them to know that Mom and Dad are here and ready to listen to anything they want to talk to us about. For all of these fabulous reasons, I've named the Emotes as a....
