Guidecraft Pirate Treasure Chest Toy Box- Review and Giveaway

My youngest son is a huge little Pirate fan, so when we had the opportunity to try some products from Guidecraft, The Pirate Collection was our first pick! My son loves his Guidecraft Rocking Pirate Ship (Be sure to enter our giveaway for this too!) and when he first saw the Pirate Treasure Chest Toy Box he was so excited!

"Treasure" he screamed "I love it!"

We laughed so hard, but weren't suprised by his reaction because my husband and I think the Guidecraft Treasure Chest Toy Box is pretty cool too!

The Guidecraft Pirate Treasure Chest came in a huge rectangular cardboard box.When we opened the box to assemble the toy box we could see that everything was packaged securely for safe shipping. Each piece is held in place with styrofoam to keep the pieces from being scratched. When your product arrives from Guidecraft you can expect it to arrive in excellent shape.

My husband pulled out each of the pieces of the treasure chest so that everything was laid out and ready to assemble. The lid of the treasure chest came put together, but the rest of the chest had to be assembled. He then opened the box of hardware and pulled out the direction sheet. Yes, this husband of mine does follow directions!  

The Guidecraft Pirate Treasure Chest was really easy to assemble and the directions were simple to follow. It did take a bit longer than the Rocking Pirate Ship because there were more pieces and screws and bolts, but within about 30 minutes the Treasure Chest was ready to go!

The Guidecraft Pirate Treasure Chest is a wonderful toy box! I love all the details that Guidecraft included when designing this product. From the shape of the Treasure Chest to the gold paint edging it looks so realistic to what your child would imagine a Treasure Chest to look like. I love the painted scene on the front of the toy box. This image of a pirate ship on the water really matches well with the other Guidecraft Pirate Collection Products. On both of the sides of the pirate ship there are treasure maps and the pirate skull and cross bones. I just adore the whole look!

 

The Guidecraft Treasure Chest toy box is made of solid wood and is very durable as all of Guidecraft products are. There is  a piece of painted wood that can slip into the center to seperate the toy box into two halves. At a weight of 55 pounds this toy box is sturdy. The approximate size of the Pirate Treasure Chest is Dimensions: 20" Height x 20" Width x 32.5 Length, which means all of your little Matey's toys and treasures will fit right inside. The Treasure Chest features safety supports that protect your children's hands from being slammed and the design also prevents pinched fingers.

Having a treasure chest that is a toy box is a great idea and has even helped to encourage my little pirate to put his toys away. I tell him that he needs to keep his "Treasure" safe and he starts to pick up his toys and put them away! Its perfect!

My son absolutely loves his Guidecraft Pirate Treasure Chest as well as his Rocking Pirate Ship and I love to watch him imagine and play out fun pirate adventures with his Guidecraft products!
